OOTD and review of Boohoo ripped jeans

Along with my dogtooth dress, I got a pair of Ripped Jeans in my Boohoo order. I was so excited for these to come as i'd been looking for a pair for ages! Its so difficult to find jeans that are the right length for me because i'm quite tall and most jeans I buy tend to be a bit short and so I end up having to roll them up into cropped jeans- not very practical in this weather though.. so when put these on andnoticed how long and well fitted they are, I was so pleased with them!
I just styled the jeans with a thin knit jumper, a simple gold necklace and a classic pair of converse to create a casual saturday outfit. Ripped skinnies are very verssatile so canbe worn with alot of outfits but look  especiallylovely with a thick knit jumper and a pair of chic heels for a classy going out look but for a casual lazy day,I just decided to dress them down with my converse.

The strands betweenthe rips are actually elasticated so they're not uncomfortable likesome ripped jeans are. Very comfy pair of jeans which will deffo be one of my favourite casual pieces this spring.

Boohoo dogtooth monochrome dress

I ordered this dogtooth monochrome dress from boohoo on Thursday and it arrived yesterday which I was really surprised about because boohoo can sometimes take a good while to dispatch their orders. Looking at the dress when I took it out of the packaging, it's looked so small for a size 10 (my mum even joked that I got a kids age 10) but when I put it on it was actually quite stretchy and fitted really well.

The length of the dress was quite short (may be because I'm quite tall though) so I wouldn't wear it without tights on underneath- especially not in this weather! I paired the dress with simple think black tights and a pair of black Chelsea boot heels to keep with the monochrome look of the outfit.

I added a silver necklace to my outfit to contrast it against the monochrome colour scheme of the outfit, also because every outfit needs a little bit of bling! Big bold accessories wouldn't match too nicely with the dress because of the heavy dogtooth pattern the dress already has. I thought the silver was a subtle way to dress the outfit up.

As with a lot of my outfits, I wore my dress with my watch and a simple bracelet that I wear most days. I didn't want to overdo the outfit with accessories because the pattern is bold enough on its own.

This is a lovely dress and such a bargain at £12. It's a really nice piece to have in your wardrobe to just throw on in. Rush without having to go mad on layering or adding accessories, simple pair of black tights and some boots make it a great look for this time of the year.

Real Techniques make-up brushes

There's been a lot of commotion about the Real Techniques make-up brushes lately and so I thought I'd give them a try to see what the fuss is about and brought the Real Techniques Face Brush and the Stippling brush

This is what the boots website said about the two brushes:
  •  "Real Techniques Expert Face makeup brush is ultra firm and broad, perfect for the application and blending of cream or liquid foundation."
  • "Create a flawless base with this beautifully designed Stippling brush by Samantha Chapman, which helps you build coverage gradually for an airbrushed, high definition result."

I used the face brush to soften in my concealer before applying my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I was actually surprised as to how even my foundation was using the face brush. The fine bristles reach every pore and the coverage of my foundation was so much more even, those pimples and annoying blemishes were covered so well and as a little added plus, the brush was so soft on my skin!
Although the stippler brush is intended to be used as a brush to apply concealer and primer, i use mine to apply and blend in my blusher on the apples of my cheeks and on my temples. I found the stippler brush to be less effective than the Real Techniques face brush and actually resorted back to using my old Body Shop blusher brush. Thisaybe because I used the stippler brish to apply my blusher and not my concealer and primer.

Although the stippler brush dont live up to my expectations, i would definitely recommend the face brush by Real Techniques. I will definitely be buying more Real Techniques brushes and will let you know how they compare to the descriptions on the retailer websites.
